Hello everyone I thought it might be better to post all my questions and progress into one thread instead of posting 10 different ones, so here we are. This warrior is just to fix & rip around for a bit and then sell to get enough $ for either a real build or a 400 ex

My first question , so I was really confused on this one i'm not sure if the starter one way bearing is bad or I'm doing something wrong i torqued down everything to spec and it still turned over both ways so I took everything apart to see what I did wrong and this time I noticed that when I don't put the gear on the flywheel it spins both ways and when I do it spends one way does anybody have any idea what could be wrong? and also how do I take the hubs off they seem to be stuck on a bit

I guess this is also like a before pic

I got no idea why it still cranks both ways after I torqued it down then, at the one minute mark when I put the flywheel on is it also supposed to spin then?

Do you know how to take the hubs off?
Thanks

The hubs is an easy answer, the special trick is violence. You already got the pin and nut off, the only thing holding it on now is rust.
Big hammer and some 80's thrash metal usually does the trick. Anything where the lead guitarist had a coke addiction really

Thanks, maybe my engine still cranks both ways because I think I'm missing a couple of washers and I'm not torquing it down all the way?

The motor should rotate fine in either direction... the one way bearing only keeps the starter gear from engaging both directions. You can test pretty easy by putting all that back together, and with the starter out of its hole use your finger to turn the gear, it'll free spin one way and engage the other.
If your starter spins but the motor doesn't turn over you've installed the bearing backwards

UPDATE

Today was not too good of a day, i got a chinese parts carb because my carb was missing a lot of parts
when i started disassembling mine i found that the pin holding the float is stuck on really tight
I hammered and applied heat for about 45 min and it still wont bugde and it looks like i need to use the chinese carb now.
I heard they suck but i'm planning to sell quick either way

They are hit or miss, but I wouldn't lose hope here. I've got two that worked great you just gotta give it the once over. One of mine the feed hole in the plastic part of the accelerator pump didbt go all the way through. Also had where the float was wrong but it was because the previous owner had the intake manifold installed upside down and set the float for the dumb angle it was on

But how exactly are Chinese carbs bad? Tuning, durability ,performance?

Just not made with the same level of quality control. Jets might not be quite the right size, holes not drilled right, rough castings blocking passages, etc. Just give it a once over and slap it on, you'll know pretty quick if the carb is a problem vs. Some other issue that might come up from the rebuild

Well when I opened it up the rod holding the float basically fell out is that a problem and are there solutions?
Besides that it seems fine although the throttle cable is wrong I'll send pics later
