Hello I have a 2006 raptor 350 and my problem is I can only find 5 gears- one down four up (not including reverse) and my friend has the same year same model quad and it has 5 gears too but recently another friend bought a 2009 350 and it has 6 gears. I was amazed. Can someone help me with solving this mystery?

The ratios for 5th and 6th are fairly close to eachother, if you have a very sloppy shift linkage it might be tough to tell that you've actually made it into 6th or not by feel

So the speed difference between the two is minor is what you’re saying

Yeah it's not as big a jump in gearing as the 4-5 shift is. Like I said if you get the play out of the shifter you'll definently feel it change gears or not, then go from there
