Just tried out the direct shifter, good stuff! Definitely a mod everyone should do. Everything just feels tight and right, the way it should be. Shifts are tight, quick, and satisfying, no more loosey goosey bullshit. I don't think hitting neutral in between first and second will be a problem anymore. Good mod, I love it and I'm glad I did it. Quick, easy, and cheap too!

the shifter deff helps on finding the green light. But keeping your motor cooler helps alot as well.

Thanks Phantom!

Its a work in progress its only spray paint so it will be easy to touch up if need be. I have a .050 jug and piston,K&N filter, vitos key, YFZ 450 rear caliper, timing chain, grips, bar pad all ready to go in or on. A-arms, chain and sprockets i will grab when i get taxes back then i'm done! And it will be time for QOTM i hope!!!!:atv:

Hahaha i hear that MS,,,,
Alex i looked and just dont like how the pull start sticks off the motor so far and if i cant get it started with the starter then i damn sure cant start it with the pull cord,, plus the 250 shifter looks clean and shinny, hahha

Oh yeah, I've got plans to do the oil cooler mod too. Everything will come with time.

Anyways, I also confirmed today that one of my Xenon headlight bulbs is super dim.. Over the past month or so I've noticed that one bulb has been dim sometimes (never paid a whole lot of attention to it though), but I also remember it being normal again after I had seen it dimmed... in which case it can't be something like the gas escaping or something like that. I'm not sure if the connection could be messed up or what, they're only sold as a pair on ebay so I'd like to avoid spending another $23 when it could be just a messed up connection. If I recall correctly from when I installed these bulbs... there's no way for the bulb to come loose, so does anyone know what it could be (if it's not a problem with the bulb being dead)

Raised the handle bars yesterday and put on banshee front shocks today

After a big thaw and now a few days of cold weather I took the YFM600 out to a small lake. The studded tires work well but there was 2-3" of snow on top of the ice preventing the short stud heads from gripping well. I did about 100 laps around a 1/4 mile oval after a while I had spun much of snow off the track, on clean ice the tires hook up really well. My top speed of the day was 75mph, with the 2-3" of snow it wouldn't pull in 6th gear. I think it will do over 100mph on clean ice. I burnt about 15L of gas in the 2 hours I was on the lake, a fantastic way of turning money into noise.
