That cooler is worth a bunch of money.. Close to what I have on my wheeler. I really like it. Bar and plate design. I still use a hi speed computer fan that works off 12v. When you run hi compression piston engine and oil gets really hot.

Awesome find my man!!

Thanks, outta curiosity where did you mount yours Jason. Now all I need to get is my braided lines.

Like this. This was a while back when I rebuilt the engine. I never put braided lines. I recomend it. I did cut some and had oil coming out of the cooler hoses. A friend later made me a custom plate to cover the hoses.

RIP tom. This is where you can kinda see how I mounted the fan on there. Just right on top of the cooler. I think it flows around 120 cfm. I will have to check on that. I does help greatly in the woods and slow moving, I actually keep it on all time. It is really loud but moves a ton of air for a 3.5" fan. http://www.frostytech.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1169

Thanks man, im gonna have to think about mounting there to. Nice to know Im not the only one that likes the idea of these coolers and Im gonna have to think about the idea of one of the fans. I think I have a couple of them laying around and I think this is the first pics Ive actually seen of yours or atleast that ive found.

Yeah even with just the cooler the oil still gets really hot. You can tell when you are trying to go into reverse. I also ride with 4x4's so sometimes it's pretty slow moving. That fan helps greatly.

The way I mounted it on there isn't the best.. I'm sure you could find a better way. I added some more zip tie's. When installing the fan.

That last pic is a year or two old.. I have done a little more to it. I like the mx racer look, rather then the woods look.

Ya once it gets here I can get a better idea of it. I had made a cardboard version to get a few ideas to start, but theres no guarantees that my mock up one was anywhere near the exact dimensions. Heres one of the ideas I had, but as far forward as possible:

I like it.. I was trying to mount mine like that.

Figure with all the different places and types of riding I do, that the general area would give it the most protection. With out having to make a bulky guard. depending on the final mounting position I might do some kind of scoop to help get more air to the cooler and the motor, but thats far from for sure yet. Still playing with all kinds of ideas.

I really like the fan idea. I thing have to tinker with this idea. Course I'd put mine of the backside and probably have it pull rather then push (the hot air coming off the engine/header) Also pulling will allow it to blow away mud and debrie from the fan as well, well in theory.

Any computers a fan that powerful come on stock?

Yeah I was thinking mine on the rear grab bar. and have it like they do the off road trucks. Sweet.

I don't think so because they are so loud and anoying. Maybe some alienwares? If you look for the size of how small that fan is it flows quite a bit of air for it. Also doesn't weight much. Spal would be mint. haha
