Well the Yoshi is finally here, started to install it and apparently Raptors mounting for the pipe is in a different location. No biggy though, Ill just modify or make a mount for it

Take a piece of 1/8th in steel or 1/4" aluminum plate and build a adapter, mine is a band type so I lucked out and used a piece of flat strap and made it work

Ya I've got an idea to get it mounted. There's the stock mount and another mount further up. I'm thinking of running a piece between them and use that to do a relatively good mount. Just need to get a piece

Well are you all ready for another Elite vote. Finally got my valves and gaskets ordered and as soon as they are here the head will be headed to my local engine shop for a valve job and a +1 intake valve. Cometic EST gaskets. Cant wait!!!!

ALEX WILL VOTE DOWN! MUH HA HA HA HA AHA! lol JK dude your quad is awesome. cant wait!

As soon as the parts come in and its together this will be my mod form!!

Well Im still waiting on the +1 intake valve, otherwise this post would be saying that I was waiting on the engine shop to get done with the head. Probably gonna be taking the head and jug to the engine shop just so for sure the head gasket sealing surface is up to snuff. Especially considering I got the EST gaskets and the head gasket is MLS. Gotta make sure both surfaces are smooth!!! Before I tear it down Ill get a running vid and then after re-assembling and making sure its good to go Ill get another vid. Once its back together Ill also get some up to date pics with my good camera!!!

Well, Its about damn time, rest of my goodies finally showed up. Now I need to get ahold of the machine shop and get the head accepting the +1 intake and checked out to go.

Got the Dynatek installed tonight. Wanted to make sure before the motor comes out for the build that the cdi was indeed good. Seems to run smoother with it on than with a stock one. Didnt get to take her for a spin though, because Im still working on getting the Yoshi modded to mount up. It does act like it has better throttle response to. With in the next couple days the motor will be coming out to prep for the real build up!!!!!

Decided to pull the motor out this morning and take it to work with me. In the process of pulling it I noticed the carb boot had some sanding done to it, looked a little deep in and notice the intake runner had been ported to. Well it had a ported head on it, but heres the real kicker, everything else about the head was stock! So the top end is completely off of the motor, rings showed definate wear, piston showed the start of piston to cylinder contact.

Im gonna be calling my engine machinist to see if my head is done tomorrow. whether its done or not, Ill be getting the rest assembled and waiting for the head. I would of today, but I forgot to grab all the parts and my flywheel puller. Ill also try to get some pics for you guys tomorrow.

I've been wondering about those cdi. Some people hate them others love um. Keep us updated on how you like it. I'm really interested in hearing your experience with it
