changed carburetor now the quad takes long to start.

Hey fam,
New to this forum and new to the "quad life." I have a question, I am trying to get my warrior 350 to start and run good. Problem is when I bought it the guy said i needed a new carb due to it leaking. When I replaced it I installed it the way it came from the box. No adjustments done what so ever. Did I have to do any adjustments before I installed it? Reason I am asking is because when I bought it I had no issues starting it. Now I have to keep turning her over for it to start. Changed battery, changed coil pack, changed the spark plug. please help!

Kind of... Ordered the gasket kit to rebuild the stock one. You think thats my issue?

Nah you did right rebuilding the stock one. Start by checking your idle and fuel screw mixes. If it's running lean it'll be harder to start if you didnt also change the jetting or anything you might have a vacume leak between the carb and the head. The rubber manifold likes to crack especially once you are moving and shaking it around

I still am going to rebuild the carb. For some reason i decided to change an ngk spark plug i had with the one they sent me woth the coil i oredred from amazon. Put the ngk spark plug back and now it starts. Still takes a bit for it to start but let me see how it goes tomorrow morning.

Question would a bad stator cause it not to start?

It could. If you take the plug out and ground it against the motor, you can crank the starter and test for spark strength. It should be bright and consistent.
