So i was thinking about getting new plastics, then a buddy of mine said to try this paint called Krylon Fusion...he said it works great....so I started researching different paint and stuff and came across this spray on bedliner. Has anyone ever tried sprayon bedliner on their quad? I sounds like it would be cool but might end up being jenk...any insight would be extremely helpful

I used Fusion to paint my plastics, I was lazy and didn't clean them properly or use clearcoat so it's not holding up perfectly. It stays on really well though, doesn't flake when the fenders flex and only comes off when I pour gas on it or if I hit something.

If you really want it to look good and last, leave it alone or get new plastics. No kind of paint will hold up to what a quad's plastics go through if you really ride it like it was intended.

What's this about spray-on bed liner? What would you be using that for? Hell, that spray on bed liner isn't even good as a bed liner... you get the same effect with a can of house paint and a bucket of sand.

That's true. The only reason I painted mine was because it was already painted and that paint was coming off.

Well my plan was to only paint my tank cover and hood...my quad is white and blue and the blue is all faded and nasty and I putting most of my money into it other places so im trying to keep appearance stuff cheap

I wouldn't recommend painting the tank cover. If you spill gas it'll cause the paint to bubble.

I painted my hood and tank cover with regular old rustoleum and after a year, it still looks great. However, i spent the time and did it right. Sanded the plastic, sanded between coats and used a couple coats of semigloss clearcoat over top. i have spilled gas all over my tank multiple times and it still looks like it did when i 1st painted it. take your time and do it right!
