Hell, I'd be happy with a 350 horse small block! Lol. I called about the el camino today and left a message, just waiting for a call back. Already planning the build. Nothing super outragous, keeping it mostly stock because it is so rare.

found out why an R34 is illegal to drive in US
they are not up to code on emisions and safety standards aren't good enough for the US
but the R32 is legal in the US

Well up here you can only get it imported if it's 15 years or older.
I don't know what the deal is there, but thats how it works.

its not the emission standards its that the skyline r34 has 4 wheel steering and other thing which make it illegal. (not in Michigan!)

not true they don't have 4 wheel steering they are all wheel drive.
and even if they were 4 wheel steering it wouldn't be illegal cause Chevy has a 2500HD truck that came out a few years back that had 4 wheel steering here in the US
they are illegal because of the emission, safety standards don't comply with DOT regulations

As part of the stability control system the brakes help steer the car in hard corners. That could be mistaken for 4 wheel steering.
But trust me, it does not steer with all 4 wheels.

I been in lots of R34's, and even driven one.. I know whats up. lol

Gm sold a truck a few years back that had four wheel steering. That was legal. There is a guy that lives by my work that drives a gtr. Friggen bad ass. Although not technically a skyline.

Yeah gm had the quadra steer trucks. Was short lived, but cool. And, the trucks looked cool because they had a different bed. They are soooo concerned about the emissions, meanwhile, there are hundreds if not thousands of people who neglect to repair their cars (or cannot afford to) and they have bad o2's, and/or shot cats, worn out plugs, stopped up air filters, and is running like pure dog ****. But that's okay!

hey 94warpig, do you know if we bring down r34 skylines from Canada back to Michigan?
(i heard we can)

Well, we have NO emissions testing here in the great state of michigan so that wouldn't be an issue. I can't imagine why you wouldn't be able to.
