So I replaced me rear pads and when I tighten down the caliper to Frame the pads lock on the rotor. I used a c-clamp to push piston all the way in when replacing pads. If I loosen up caliper from Frame the pads will come off the rotor allowing free spin but still can hear rubbing from pads. Until I loosen more which looks unsafe like bolt can rattle out very quick. Any advice??

The sliders on the caliper a froze up. You need to try to get them freed up.

the pins that the bolts go through. they are inside the rubber boots where your two bolts go through and hold the caliper together. just push on the boot and it will pop out the other side. grease them and put them back in and ride! (if you hear a light scrubbing sound thats ok) oh and change out your brake fluid to DOT4.

Not grease. Anti-seize. But they're prolly rusted and you'll have to remove them and wire brush the gunk off them first.

Maybe I'm missing some parts . It's just 2 bolts that screw through the frame and the caliper bracket no rubber boots or anything . Where can I get a replacement boot??

you are not understanding what i am saying. the bolts that hold the caliper together. not the ones that mount it to the carrier.

I just rebuilt my calipers...that bolt with the allen head on it that attaches to the caliper bracket and goes through the caliper with the boot might be frozen..i had to cut them off of both the front calipers and get new ones. only thing was my local shop said that Yamaha doesn't sell that bolt so he gave me Honda ones which were just a little bit shorter. I haven't put the calipers back on yet caus im still rebuilding rest of the quad but I don't think it will be a problem.

You removed both the caliper,AND, it's mounting bracket. There are two bolts (what Alex is talking about) that bolt the caliper to the bracket. The sleeves that those bolts go through are inside machined holes in the caliper, and are sealed at both ends with rubber boots. It is VERY common for them to rust, or just sieze, in the holes. Every machanic has run into this problem. Get them out, if you can, clean them with a wire wheel (brake clean does good, but a wire wheel on a bench grinder is the ****!!!), use antisieze or caliper grease on them, and put em back in. Make sure to clean out their holes, too. Once they are in push them in and out to make sure that they move freely.

Oh, and I think there is only 1 slide bolt. The other is a pin or shaft that is a part of the caliper bracket, and slides into the caliper.

Sorry for the late reply just got to doing this since I'm rebuilding . So I found the bolt you guys where talking about it was pretty much seized in there. Now that I have it out and sitting in diesel cleaning off and the hole is clean. I need those 2 rubber ring seals that go inside anybody know where I can get them???

Just go on one of those and you can enter the info for your bike and they have diagrams with numbers and you can see which part it is that you need.

Are those o-rings a must?? My rubbers are still good I really don't see a use for the o-rings inside the housing .
