Is is easier to fix the parking nreak or just remove it? I am really thinking about just removing it, what is involved in the job?

i fixed mine... before it wouldn't hold. unless your one of those 'extreme weight reduction' people, id say keep it on

maybe it's worth fixing it if you actually use it, but I never used mine and it caused more trouble than it was worth, so I ditched the whole setup and never looked back.

when it starts eating your pads, costing you $, when you rely on it and your quad rolls away you will be getting that block-off. That PB is a POS needs constant attention to keep it working right and isnt worth having it on the quad.

What about it you're towing it on a trailer? I like to use the parking brake rather than leaving it in gear cause I read in a magazine that that is bad for it. I obviously strap it down as well.

I just take a bungee strap and bungee the front break lever down - doesnt budge; You also ratchet strap it down/in place anyway.

yeah just a zip tie or something around the front brake lever does the trick for me.

Half the time it is adjusted it'll just go rolling away anyway, you'll have to adjust it every time you use it. Ditch the bitch!!! ;D

Buy the tusk e brake block off plate. it comes with a rubber o ring. the link to it is above in another post.

What do i do with that switch that is in the parking break> Nothing, anything, tuck it away in the plastic and forget about it?????

Someone should do a tutorial on removing the parking break.

With pictures of course.

So it will not hur anything....do I have to splice the wires together that go to that switch?

Unplug the sensor from your perch then take your hood off and follow them wires until you get to another plug and unplug them there too. Take them up, and your done.

I started to make a tutorial about removing the parking brake. Then death and I started to talk about it and decided it wasn't really that big of a deal, and that this task was a little easier then others.. However if someone wants to take some pictures and type the tutorial we will put it up.

Sounds good.

It just seems like this topic comes up on a weekly basis.
