1987. New caliper, just rebuilt master cylinder, good smooth disc and good pads. Bled the system a few times now and the brake still feels spongy. I have not found any leaks. It takes a lot of foot pressure to get it locked up. Is it possible that there is still air stuck in the system? If so, how can I get it out?

Keep bleeding.....I remember when I first did mine it seed like it took forever. But make sure all the air is out. The fluid should shoot out in a nice stream if there bleed properly. Ask make sure you still have break pads left on the pad on both sides. The cylinder can only push out so far till it does nothing.
