Welp, the rear shock has once again decided it can't take it anymore and has decided to pee it's pants in protest of the abuse I put it through20250309_164545.jpgWhat's the ride quality like on the stock vs. Raptor 660 vs. Banshee rear shocks?

Fwiw I have the drw rear link and can run either one. The link made the stock shock ride a little nicer, and my revalved banshee shock a little better yet, but my shock builder warned me this day was coming sooner rather than later. Considering picking up a 660 shock to run while I consider more serious options

So 660 shocks are a lot cheaper these days. I would go in expecting any you buy would need rebuilt the same as this. Now Weston recommends a dual rate 660 shock with this linkage. The initial spring is set up with a light 100 lb spring to give a lot of sag so the ride height isn't too tall.

I remember you were talking about doing a shock build with dual rate springs, if you want to dm the specifics I might go that route. Also considering pretending I missed a paycheck and just getting an elka to match the front, given I haven't had much luck with the quality of used shocks

The banshee shock I had the builder warned me someone tried polishing out scrapes in the shaft, and even with a tighter seal in it may leak... the guy knows his stuff but I'm not sure a seller with a used one will represent their product truthfully

Tbh that might be the easiest. You might be out the same on both. Could also try the Vito's banshee shocks but I can't speak for the quality.
