How do you know when it's time to remove a link from your chain?

Obviously, once you've turned your adjusters all the way in it's time, but what about before it gets to that point???

if your chain is that stretched out just replace it and the sprockets, better to spend the $$ now on them then have to repair a busted engine case from the chain getting thrown

The service manual has specifications in there somewhere about how long 5 links of the chain should be. Just measure the links and compare it to that number.

You'll have to cut out two links also, since the inners have to meet the outers. Just get a new chain, DID's have always worked nice for me, that's actually came stock on my warrior. The Xring ones are really nice, they have the plating that doesn't oxidize so it holds up great in weather and wet rides.
