Over the weekend I went for a long ride with the warrior. Rode great and had all sorts of power. I found myself tired and body just hurt from the bumps after 200 mile trip. Everyone else on there 4x4's and **** said, I felt great the next day.
The other thing is the shifter linkage is about to go out and causing hard shifting and I have to replace the one way clutch and gear set as it's making a bunch of noise. Also the clutch is getting starting to grab more and I think waves inside the clutch are shot. All that is getting replaced some time in the next few weeks when the parts show up.
I'm getting pretty sick of this thing nickel and diming me. Yeah it's a fourwheeler and they all have there problems but I just don't think it's worth it for me to keep sticking money into this one. I love the darn thing but I think I'm going to seek something out that's a little newer design and has a little more comfort. So any ideas on a good sport quad that is like the warrior but more updated??

I think what ever I get I'll keep it stock.. Yeah, like that will happen...
I just want something with everything. Awesome suspension, super torquey motor that I can lug around and also have more power then what I got or the same and still be light with reverse and electric start. Also something that I can beat the **** out and it not break down and is built well.

I seen that with no lid on the airbox and stock exhaust the raptor 700r made 43 hp in dirt wheels. That's a **** load for just a minor mod.
Yeah dave... I've been reading and it seems like you can get about 70 or so horse pretty reliable out of this machine. I don't think I'd ever use that but pretty sweet to say the least.

i would get the 700 but if you decide to keep the warrior then banshee shocks would be great

he isnt a tard...... both bikes ride respectively well.

for the money spent on the 700, you could have a lot into the 400. in jersey anything 650 ccs or above is a motor vehicle.....not the best if your riding illegally regardless of where you are. take that into consideration as well.

best value is obviously a 700.... oodles of power that rolls on smooth. the z400 power is veryyyy good when built correctly. you can push 40 horses to the rear on a reliable motor easily.

track or trail? trails and fast roads, get the 700r.

for the track reconsider the stock 700 and think what you can do to a race proven and ama legal z400. idk if thats ever a concern but throwing it out there.

i can ride my friends z400 all day. extremely comfortable and the power is juuusttttt right with a sparks, hotcam in and out, port/polish, fresh valves, fcr 39 yfz carb, uni clamp on, and a 12-1 piston. that motor motors! the torque is incredible and power rolls on smooth. excellent bike for the track with some motor mods and a decent stock suspension.

this is why i say reconsider... aftermarket is aftermarket.... stock shocks and motor is stock. a pimped out z400 with the works out and inside is quite a bike, just as a stock 700.

consider what you need and want. weigh those out correctly and youve made the correct decision.

personally- a stock 700 would fit me well. i would love to have one.i like to ride the track and a 700 would work just fine, but a modded z400 is something you cant gow rong with.

I'd rather not have to do any upgrades to what ever I get.. I like the Z400 because it's smaller and the suspension is great. 700r has the edge for power. I looked at them both and think both are awesome.
