too much oil?

never screw it all the way in... you dip it as in the manual states. So actually it's low.
You may have an intake valve guide seal going out or oil rings on the piston.
 
I have done it this way for 6 years..IDK..im done with it..selling it as it is

oh believe me I've done it that way was well for years until I read the manual one day. When I tore the engine down it looked great.
 
Ahhh come on 97warriorrider no need in giving up on her and selling out just step back and breath and go back at it probaly is as jason said probaly valve guide seal witch cost a lil of nothing or maybe the rings worn down witch will be no more than180 for a goo high comp piston and the ring's...

I have way to much money into this thing as it is..I dont trust it to take it for long rides..yeah i would get another yamaha though if they made a 400..but im gettin a 400ex..there ******* unkillable
 
Yep..thats about the size of my hand


I wish my raptor had an oil cooler the size of your hand, maybe reverse and neutral would work more often.
