Hey i have a 1994 or 1996 250 trail boss and i think i need to lean the carb out on it. The question is how do i do that? Thanks

ok which way (left or right) do i need to turn the air/fuel mixture screw?

OK well what it was doing before i messed with the air/fuel mixture was if you would rev it kinda high then just let the rpms drop from a high rev it would die. Now I have adjusted it to where it dont do that any more now what it is doing is when you put it in forward from an idle it will idle just fine in forward for a little bit then just die. Any one know what to do? And thanks for the help so far.

take the carb ALL the way apart and soak it in finger nail polish remover (make sure it's got acetone in it) over night (all the metal parts) and then spray it all off (and make sure you hit every little hole good with carb cleaner)

I have already cleaned the carb out. I took the jets out and cleaned everything.

yes but alot of times carb cleaner doesn't get everything... the finger nail polish remover gets EVERY LITTLE speck of gunk out (and it turns the alum a badass white color lol)
