Damn it sure has been quiet here lately.
Found out the problem with the Wolf's battery draining (only 4 months old)and the stator alternator not putting out the full 14+ volts (was only pushing 13.8 and dropping while giving it throttle)
Come to find out the culprit was the Damn winch's wireless remote control module box constantly drawing power from battery and possibly grounding out the charging system. Sooo
As soon as I disconnected the power wire of the winch from the battery everything went back to normal battery is at 12.4 volts and when running it jumps up to 14.4 and holds steady at idle and jumps up a few tenths when throttling up.
So now to figure out a way to run the winch so its not constantly hooked hot to battery. Was thinking toggle switch but the power wire is
6 Guage so not sure maybe just do a quick connect type thing so when I need it I can just complete the circuit and when not in use unplug it.

You can get a switch for automotive battery cables that will work. Summit carries them. But, if there is a problem with stator output with the winch box hooked up, you'll put an awfully heavy draw on a system that is not operating at it's full capacity, when you do use the winch. I'd eliminate the wireless feature and just have a rocker switch mounted on the handlebars.

Well since this place is so damn quiet I'll give a little update on the Wolf
So I seen Dennis Kirk was having a tire sale so I started scrolling through there selection of atv mud tires and I come across the Maxxis Zillas 25x10x12 for $74.88/tire so I say to myself hell I'll order these now and get fronts later as the fronts 25x8x12's were $64.88/tire
Anyway I order the rears at 7pm and they arrive the next morning so I go have the Kenda Bear Claws pulled off the rear ITP SS wheels and the new Maxxis Zillas put on then later that night I was searching ebay and came across an auction for a brand new pair of 25x10x12 Maxxis Zillas starting at .99 cents + $50 shipping no bids only 4 hours left so I watch it until it gets down to 40 minutes left and I bid thinking it will get bid up over $140 by now it's at 10 minutes left and nobody else has bid and I'm thinking this guy is gonna cancel the auction there is no way he's gonna let a brand new pair of $148 tires go for .99 cents
3...2...1 end
I won them for .99 cents +$50 shipping
Then I'm like I'll believe it when he posts the tracking number and they ship
Sure **** friday I get a tracking number that they have shipped from California and they'll be here Wednesday next week.
Still debating on selling them and ordering the 25x8x12 for the fronts or running the 25x10x12's on the front to but I'm thinking 10's will be to wide for the front and make steering ******.
Oh yeah I also installed a 3" Pro Comp suspension lift in the ZJ
Anyway here are some pics

I also got a lightly used set of 245x75x16 all terrain tires for the jeep and a set of 16" rims to put them on as the 30x9.5x15's that are on it in pic are all dry rotted and cracked to the point they aren't safe which sucks because they have a lot of tread life left but It needed something better for winter.
