that's a hell of a deal! Especially for the raptor, those are always harder to find than one for a warrior. That's BY FAR the cheapest i've ever saw a new one go for, for any machine.

That's what I thought. the lowest ive seen them go for was right around 450. I thought I would get outbid in the last minute but it never happen. Do you think I will be able to see a big difference in power? Its kinda cool because im deployed away from home right now so when i get back ill be putting that on and my exhaust all at once. It will be like a whole new ride im thinking. what do yall think?

yeah, you should definitely feel a difference in how it rides, especially after being away from it for a while.

How hard was it to install? I guesse I can sale my jet kit now. Also I don't have anything else done to my motor is that alright? Im looking at getting a digital ignition next. How are they? Are they worth the money? Who's the best company to go with on one of those.

They're simple to install, the instructions they come with are pretty good. No big deal that you don't have anything else done to the motor yet, you just won't gain as much HP as you would get out of a modified engine.

The only CDI that's really worth the money is the dyna, and they're pretty pricy. They do make a good difference from what I hear, but I think you'd feel more difference from a cam, intake, exhaust, etc.

what's a good cam to buy? Do you know where i can get it from? How hard are they to replace? thanks

There's different cams for different types of riding, depending on where you want your power gains. I don't have much experience with cams, so I can't say myself which ones are best, and how hard they are to install, but there's lots of guys on the site that will be able to help you out more.

As far as cams go, it kinda just depends on how you ride. I like to do a lot of top end pulls and basically just go fast, so i went with Web Cams full race cam. They also make a smaller cam. I get most of my stuff from Magic Racing which is local to me. http://www.magicracing.com is their website. Pretty good deals.

I appreciate the help guys! Im pretty stoked about the edelbrock and the deal that I got.

mine was terrible to install and it doesnt fit right and the carb pops out of the boot sometimes

You probably don't have it completely on there, they are easy to install and click in the rubber components when you push them far enough. It really takes some force to fully install it.

Either you're a moron, or you have the wrong carb (still a moron). I installed mine, removed it, installed it again, and had it running within an hour of opening the box. Had I read the instructions first it would have taken me even less time (forgot to install the idle cable)

what would be the next thing i need to buy for my rap 350? I have the K&N, HMF, Edelbrock exhaust and thats it for performance. Where should I go from there.

I'd say a cam would be the next step, unless you already need a rebuild. If it smokes then i'd say get a high compression piston, and get the head ported while it's apart. That was my excuse.

I have a 2005 and it seems to be running fine no smoke! I bought it in aug of 05 and have ridden it alot. Ive done the maintenance stuff like cleaning the air filter using chain wax and changing the oil. I have to figure out how much work it's going to be to install a cam.
