Just buy a new one off ebay, as far the performance everyone i know that has one is very pleased with it. Its a lot easier to adjust and makes the throttle respose so much better.

Igot one for my 350 raptor and i cant get it tuned right one day its runnin great then the next its not then on top of that i am not sure if i am gettin the power out of it i should like its a lil bit faster but i am not happy with it right now..... just hopein i cant tune it better this weekend

If anyone has a Edelbrock carb on their 350 let me know what u have urs adjusted at maybe i am not gettin the mixture down or something

Ask DeathShadow what price he can get one for, he is selling new parts as well!

so it's worth buying? I don't think the stock one is anygood either cause i don't think i'm getting the right throttle response. anyone selling one for a warrior?

$299 r u serious? i ve never seen any price around there, the cheapest ive ever seen is $389 do u think there actually selling a new product or is it just BS? If you ever see a deal like that let me know!

well, that is a very diffrent point of view. When I looked at the dyno chart for the carb on the 350 rap it looked like pretty good gains all through the rpm range. But what u said is i will lose a little low end but still gain top end. is that true or did i read it wrong. Anyone with experience with this carb on a 350 rap say that is true?

Thank you for that info though

Its also accepted, and well documented, carburetion principle, any real tuner will tell you the same thing. I've tuned a variety of CV and FS style carbs over the years, and I've learned that choosing the correct type of carb for the application and intended use is paramount. Personal preference plays a big part as well ;)

On my own site, several guys that have gone to FS carbs for the DR350's, have gone back to the CV carb. Did the FS carbs work? Sure... but it does have different power characteristics (not necessarily "better"). They determined that they preferred low-end torque and smoother powerband, and CV's are better at that. The guys that prefer a more "2 stroke like" power-band (probably because thats what they learned to ride on), love the Flatslides.

One of the things I forget to mention is tuning.

The Edel' is going to show gains everywhere, one of the big reasons is that it is properly tuned at the time of installation.

To be fair, if comparing to a completely stock CV carb isnt exactly comparing apples to apples. To be fair, the stock CV needs to be properly jetted (and they arent from the factory in order to meet EPA specs), and the exact same intake setup (i.e. airbox and/or filter) MUST be used in the comparison.

Then you will be able to see the real difference between the 2 carbs.

Both must have optimal jetting, both must have the same airbox/filter setup.

But what u said is i will lose a little low end but still gain top end. is that true or did i read it wrong.

Dont confuse top-end power delivery with top-end speed, two different things. The engine is only going to rev as far as its allowed, either by electronic rev-limiter or design limitation.

How fast you get to the rev-limiter, and when the power comes up in the power-band is what we're talking about here.

I also might add, that the cam youre running can also have an effect on which carb you decide to use! But thats a conversation for another time....

my favorite thing to do on my quad is to wheelie. Am i going to lose enough low end that i will notice a diffrence in "wheelie power". Or will it just be a slight loss?

Worst case is that you'd have to adjust your throttle/clutch technique a little, it will have a different feel.
