So I'm looking into YZ250 shifter... Since the shifter will be in a new position that's further forward and further inward, won't it be further away from my toes and stick out less? It seems like it would be harder to reach and grab with my foot. So, people running this setup: Is it still in a good position to shift? If anyone has pictures of a YZ250 shifter on a Warrior that'd be cool too. I see that a good amount of people on this forum run this setup and I was just wondering if you had to bend the shifter or something like that.

Also, is it easy to install?

I got a yz125 on mine and its much easier to shift. Plus you never have to worry about it breaking like the oe one

Does it fit okay? I've read some people saying they had to bend shifters they put on so they don't hit anything

I was also wandering about this same issue. I saw one of the YZ250 setups on here somewhere and it appeared to be much further away from the footpeg? My linkage on the stock set-up is about wore out and was trying to figure which way to go! Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Prob should be in a different thread, sorry

I have a yz250 shifter. Bolts right on , shifts way better. No bending required. I'll get a pic in a bit.

I have the 250 shifter, not sure why maybe the brand but I did haft to grind the back of the shifter body alittle bit to clear the plastic stator cover. It would hit just alittle when i upshifted. It has a very quick shift now almost to quick till u get used to it, could have been were i has the old worn out oem linkage style......

I tried to load pics to this post but it would not let me, I have pics on my profile in the without the body album.

Thanks for the pics guys. Looks like I'm gonna be ordering a YZ250 shifter today. I just have to figure out which one to buy on ebay... there's a lot of choices.

EDIT: Which one of these would work better? Looks like the top is for the YZ250 and the bottom fits the YZ250F.
