Maybe it's not actually losing power, I don't know. I'll have to test that today. I'll try a 45 pilot, but I'm fairly sure that stock size is fine.

And I know not to over-oil the filter, but I think I did anyway. That's why I'm switching back to the airbox+K&N setup for now.

Moving the e-clip up worked well, but it might be a bit too lean now, that's OK though, because I should be getting a new jet tomorrow.

But my accelerator pump got stuck again. It was perfect when I put the carb on. I went for a short 10-ish minute ride and by the end it was stuck again. Would it be safe to add a drop or two of motor oil or some other lubricant on the part that slides into the float bowl cover?

I don't think it would hurt anything. Make sure all that stuff moves freely and does not bind. Maybe make the spring a little longer.

I already stretched the spring a bit, I'll just add a drop or two of motor oil and see if that helps.

Well that didn't help, it got stuck even faster. Maybe some dirt or something got in. I let the bowl cover, pump and spring bathe in gas, maybe that'll help.

That's what I was thinking, that's why I'm soaking it in gas overnight. Hopefully that'll clear it up. Having no accel pump is annoying, but taking apart the carb every 10 minutes is even more annoying.

well once you get it fixed it should be ok.
I would take some emery cloth and buff that and the inside of the part where it sits or rides.

I finally realized what the problem is, the o-ring somehow expanded and now it binds the piston. I really don't want to order one from the dealer because I want to go riding today. :( What can I do?

Could somebody measure the length between the sharp end of the jet needle and the stock e-clip position? My needle is a dynojet and it's different. I just want to make sure everything's at or near stock specs when I mess with the jetting.

I don't think it will matter honestly because the tapper is different. I don't know why they think it's "better". I seriously wouldn't **** with it, although I know your bike came like that :(. The factory does a great job tuning the needle. Is there a middle postion on it? That would be where I would start. As you can try dynojet web site and see.

You'll have to order the o ring or go to a parts store that has them. The hardest part is that they are special o rings (the correct duron) that can take gas and ****. No brake clean on o rings, just carb clean. fyi. :)

I ordered one from my local dealership. The really strange thing is, I think it sucked up some gas because I hung it outside to dry all day and it got smaller.:) Still a bit big, but at least the piston moves now.

The needle has 6 grooves like I said before. I moved the e-clip to the position to what it was before, but I might have to move it 1 down because the 150 dynojet jet seems smaller tan the 147.5 mikuni if I compare them side-by-side. I should've ordered the stock needle with the o-ring.

See this is for sure why I hate dyno jet. The numbers don't corespond with mikuni or kehin.. It's so gay trying to figure anything out and tune the carb.
I for sure would have order the stock needle and got like 3 or 4 mains.

I already put in the 147.5 main but it's still crap with the dynojet needle, I'll order a stock one soon. The dynojet needle is really weird, for some reason it richens at about mid-throttle, sometimes it's so bad it actually sputters, even when the rest is too lean.

Well I get the jetting about right, no sputtering, tons of power, idles perfectly, but still backfires on deceleration. Good enough for now. Also, I put in the new o-ring, it worked for a while, but then got stuck again. It seems like it gets stuck after some time running the motor. Maybe the piston expands faster than the rest of the case when heated, and gets stuck. This is really pissing me off, because I just can't get it running right.

that also could be the slow speed jet on the side of the carb where the white plastic cover is.. there is an air jet in there that sometimes gets plugged. If that doesn't solve it it's just the fuel screw that needs to be turned out.
