Ive been reading about the Big Gun over rev box, and my local dealer says something i should consider getting seeing it could bump my HP up alittle. Does anyone have experiance with this? Noticable gain? engine problems? I dont understand how it could allow you to rev higher without hurting the engine, just dosent make much sense.

if it only makes the engine rev more it would be kinda pointless unless ur sponsored and get ur engine rebuilt all the time. and really u dont need to rev it up that much anyway. but for me i have one of the ebay ones cz my stock one was bad when i started to rebuild my warrior but i cant remember how it used to ride with the stock one so idk if it made an actual gain or not but it runs perfect and ive had it for about 6 months now with no problems yet.

I have a +1000 rev box on my yellow z, works fune for me, plenty of low end ,and pretty good top end, about 1500 in go fast mods (considering the yoshi pipe was 1000 when purchased) and i top out at 80.2 on a dirt road.

The rev box will really only tweek the timing a little, it does nothing for raising the revlimiter as a Warrior doesn't have a rev limiter. The revlimiting sound you hear is actually your valves floating, as the Warrior stock springs are super weak. The timing tweek will help the Warrior rev faster, but now you better have a good set of springs as the valves will float even faster.

Dave's right.. Warrior doesn't have a rev limiter. It will only benefit by the a different timing curve.

didnt they put dif. springs in teh raptor to get rid of the floating....i could have sworn that i heard a rev limiter out on my lake a couple of times...but from wht you said^^^ it must be that yamaha didnt change it..???

I really don't know the fine detales about the Raptor 350, but my guess is no they didn't change the springs nor did they add a rev limiter. It may sound funny buy somone said Yamaha put the weak valve springs in on purpose to make the valves float, therefor no more RPM gain, rather then redesign the warrior CDI to incorperate a rev limiter??? :-/

how the **** did you spend a grand on a yoshi pipe..
Look up the 04 yoshi pipe sales, thats when the pipe was bought directly through suzuki. The z never came with a stock exhuast, this sum bitch had the yoshi on it since the show room floor,

How much of a difference would stiffer springs make? i dont know to much of anything mechanically, pretty new to everything after market as well....gotta start somewhere

OIC..i thought you bought from like another dealer for that much..

i thought i read that that a rev box alters your timing & gives you consistent voltage (no voltage drops ) threw out the RPM range for hoter spark & a much better fuel burn witch will give easy starts & allow ya to run a fatter main jet & plus your able to set a rev limet to save your engine.

Yeah somthing like that. Buy a good one though like a Dyna, the cheap ones like procom will probably burn out faster then you think.

Yeah, the dyna lets you set rev limits, gives you hotter spark and timing curves, etc. Everything else for the warrior does not. There are a whole slew of problems that go along with the cheaper ones, like they don't deliver spark when starting if your battery isn't brand new and fully charged. You're lucky to get a cheap one to last a full year without problems.

yeah..i def. cant afford rebuild all the time..o by the way dshiznit i saw you pic in dirtwheels..way to represent the warrior

haha yea. im surprised someone on here noticed it.
