school. SUCKS!

Ok I know this is an old thread but I have to chime in on this one. I would do anything to go back to school and do it over! By the way im 30 years old. I hated school with a passion, never did homework, skipped class all the time, and always got sent to the principle for being a smart ass to the teachers. In my junior year of high school I basically only went to one class, mechanics. When i started my senior year i still needed 13.5 credits to graduate, so in other words it wasnt going to happen, at least not without another couple years of school. So I take the cowards way out and drop out of school on the 3rd day of my senior year.
Well lets see what kind of jobs a drop out gets.. start out pumping gas, then i went to making pizza's, and now I work 48 hours a week in an industrial plant running a 40inch horizontal band-saw cutting pipe. I only make $36K a year and can barely make ends meet. I regret dropping out of school everyday of my life. Doesnt help that friends that finished school and went onto college are making $60K-$80K a year! Once your out of school for awhile you will realize just how good it was to be in school. School was so much better and easier than the "REAL WORLD" with real responsibilities. Like I said earlier I would love to go back and be in high school again. You only have one shot at it, so make the best of it. Dont let the stupid things get to you, and dont forget to enjoy it. But most of all GRADUATE!!!

ya I know man, I think about that **** too. I don't want to be living in a dump and have a ****** ass job. but really, they need to make school better. All we do is sit in chairs!!! but I don't want to be in your position where you had to have 13.5 credits to graduate. thats a lot! I just hope I work hard enough and get the job I want

School was boring, no doubt about that. It was when i was in school, and thats why i ****** off like i did. I just dont want to see anyone make the same mistakes as me. when things get boring, just find some hot chick and just stare at her ;D but just make sure you graduate.

well I would love to do what you just suggested but there aren't any hot girls in my classes!! WTF kind of school do I go to!? LOL, maybe next semester. I'm definatly gunna graduate though

She was my Spanish teacher, and I have to say, she was HOTTTT!!! I'm defintaley gonna miss that ass!

And as far as school, just take advantage of it. You get to hang out with all of your friends, hang out with the girls, goof off, do some fun stuff, and not have to worry about bills, a boss, putting food on the table, etc... Ya, some teachers may be d*cks, but just ignore them, there are some cool ones out there. And when the classes get boring, just put your head down and sleep, think about quading ;D, or talk to some people.

hah, well I have yet to meet a cool teacher. but your right. and I guess it's only fun when you make it fun and if it's not it's your own fault. and there is actually some hot girls in my class this semester so It won't be as bad as last semester!

True dat. I've had quite a few cool teachers when I was in high school. And school really isn't that bad when you look at it like that, once you get into working full time, school doesn't seem all that terrible.

I dont like school that much either but im in no rush to get out of it, But then again its gona be a lot better when i graduate and have a job that i like, the boss already knows and likes me and my uncle is best friends with the boss ;D

yea school ****** sucks but i only have until may and im finished.
