hey man, I've ridden in the snow lots, just try to stay off the roads where the salt and **** is and you'll be fine. Post up some pics if you get out there in it. We've had a little snow here tonight - about 1 cm. Maybe I'll bust out the Rappy tomorrow

why should I avoid salt?

ummmmm RUST!!!!! corrosion, etc.

Worst thing for anything steel, or worse, Aluminum.
