only thing i'm trying to avoid is attaching it to the engine which is already proven to break.

if you can attach to the frame, if the chain does fly off it won't even come in contact with the engine...might be extra work but it'll probably work out better JMO

Are those lights from Walmart? If so drill a hole in them and put a short screw in it to stop the lens from falling off, I found out the hard way on a set a had.

update!

haven't worked on this thing too much... since my jeep wrangler was wrecked that lit a fire under my ass to do some work to my cherokee i've been neglecting...dunno if you guys are into jeeps, but here is my wrangler, and a pic of my project cherokee....damn...everything i own is a project! LOL

but anyway, back to the warrior....the only thing i've done to it lately is strip all the Previous owners stickers off, and i was hoping i could find someone to make me a couple small decals to add, but in the meantime i found these off ebay from www.stylndecals.com for 2.28 for 2 stickers. i think it looks better than all those stickers the last guy had on it....hope i find just a FEW more that would look decent

DOOD. Jeeps are bad ass. I have a 91 YJ that is my future project. Wanna wheel it? Your about an 1:40 (same distance as I have to drive) from my primary wheelin and campin spot, Wellsville. Pack up that jeep and the warrior and I can guarantee you a good time!

lol! i do now! LOL

my wheelin days are about over though deadlast.....that tj above was the one in the accident and might be totaled (for a second time) with a bent frame....if the frame isnt bent i'll fix it (again) but if it is, i'll probably be parting it out. the cherokee will be a nice family friendly wheeler for when my daughter gets a little older

well, i wanted to do a few little tune ups to this tonight and ride this weekend, but i need a new battery, and i'm leaving to go to texas for a few weeks for work, so i figured i'd do that when i came back, but in the meantime, i cut my fenders, and painted my nerfs with black bed liner...gonna do my wheels soon too....sent out a few emails about ball joints and threaded bungs, haven't heard anything yet, but if it comes down to it i'll buy the moog tie rods, and ream my knuckles and machine the bungs myself. pretty much all the big money stuff is bought, except tires.

sunday i might start building my case saver also....pics for now

About 14 years ago I did a semi-cheap resto on a beat up red 87. I repainted almost everything and to this day it still looks awesome. Just took my time over a summer and got her done right. If ya keep an eye on e-bay you can get some really good deals. I remember picking up the two new Blaster front shocks for $60.00. Been a great machine for my uses over the years!!!

yeah that's what i'm tryin to do..i have a 4 month old little girl, so time to ride is kinda scarce, LOL. but when she gets a little older and able to entertain herself and my wife doesnt need much help, then i can ride. so for now i just keep working on it.

touched up the frame, and painted the wheels today...not finished painting the frame yet. it's getting there...i think its a definite improvement over when i brought it home
