Pulled front hubs. One inner bearing ruined. None in stock at the dealer so ordered them in. One side rebuilt and back on. No ride for me till the weekend.

Bolted a msr aluminium shifter up to get rid of that sloppy hoe linkage setup! $25 well spent no modding! For a yz250!:atv:

Well....I tried to install my shifter but for some reason the damn nerf's won't come off! I took the bolts out but it's like stuck onto the foot peg part.....

So I put it back together for now and went and jumped this jump a few times over in the neighborhood. The first few times went pretty good very smooth wasn't sure if I was actually getting air or not, felt like I was though. The last time I know I did because I overshot the landing and flat landed. Didn't fall off or anything so no harm done but jumping isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be!

Why do you have to take your nerfs off to install a sifter??? Just un-bolt the piece the goes on the shifter shaft splines, take a long screwdriver and slide it off the splines then take the quad stand it up on the rear bumper, get another screwdriver pop the e-clip off the back of the foot peg and the whole thing slides off! Bolt on the direct shifter and go ride!

Hmm, I didn't think you could take off the stock shifter without removing the foot peg. I'll have to try that then, it's still frustrating that it was so stuck on there.

Yeah I did it today took me about 15 minutes prolly don't have to lift it up, you could prolly jus lay under it but lifting it was just as easy!

I was wondering if YZ250 shifter may be shorter then the YFZ450, but it looks to be about the same length. I'm a bit worried with how much more forward the shifter will be sitting.

Need to vent here...

What did I do today? I built the bottom end for my buddies raptor 660... bolted it together and realized that a trans shaft was not turning smooth enough and had a little binding in the bearings. Turns out that the reverse gear on the main transmission drive (shaft the clutch is located on) is out too far (out of spec), putting added pressure on its bearings, and needs to be pressed tighter so its in spec. Nothing like getting a case torn down, assembling everything, only to have to tear it down the same day and find this. This 05 tranny upgrade is the death of me and holding up on my projects due to taking up space on my work bench.

Sunday I put my " black" top end back together with a 40 over wiseco 10 1/4-1 piston, ported and polished head, new valve seats and all new seals and gaskets. Then Monday and yesterday I painted crankecase cover, a arms, bumper, shifter, brake pedal, pegs and foot guards all black. It runs and looks Great!!! I couldn't be happier. :)

Ripped a wheelie and crashed and burned off the back of the seat! Quad is fine I got some grass stains!

Pushed it forward then back and went and bought a used scroll saw for like 125 for a 600 dollar saw!! High quality case savers that are butter smooth is here!!!

uuuh crap this is a doosy
so my day started normal woke up early to finish a honda for a costomer then droped the botor and all back in my blasty was about to do the exhaust then i realized i didnt have a exhaust gasket crap so i pushed it aside then helped dad wash and acid bath his bear tracker then horacio showed up and he had busted his case (btw hes a fellow warrior rider and hes why i wanted to make case savers) and finished it and all no biggy so we went ridin and we were just goofing off nothing big so i got high centered on a burm so i set my feet on the ground to push off and just as i pull up on the bars pop their goes my handel bars
