Pulled the cam out of my old head and found the hot cams one on the left!!!!
This has to be my lucky day!!
Scored some works for the front and found something I didn't know I had.
So far this engine was .050" over, hot cam, aftermarket rod.

score !!

Got my jug today, trans will ship out this week, should get to order all my parts this week and built a spacer for my right grip to keep me from choking up on the thumb throttle

Called my friend and left him a message about getting the stroker top end done. Waiting to hear back.

Going faster then 80mph on a quad is not for everyone, mine feels quite stable at hight speed probably due to the extra weight.

I see your gearing being a limiting factor, you have to chose your sprockets for the type of riding your doing. For some reason I was thinking it would rev more then 8500, but it's one big piston, a two stroke thumper. We all know these bikes are just as much fun at 15mph in a trail as they are on a road at 70mph. I have much lower gearing then you (12-45) but because mine is happy from 1500 to 15000 every gear has a super wide speed range. 2nd gear is good from 10-40mph.

I look forward to seeing yours in action, order up the parts and get that swinger made!!
The IT490 was geared for enduro use. I believe it's actually faster than a YZ. (Don't quote me on that) But I know it puts more bottom end to the ground.

And ya it only revs to around 8500, maybe 9500 in the over rev. But you would really be push'n it. Another thing about the 490 is the unpredictable power band. It comes in really erratic threw the rpm range, because of a poor CDI design.

But if the world doesn't implode, I should have some video this spring.
I just need to make new exhaust mounts so it's not hanging so low in the frame, and I want to add a few gussets to the frame. Of course a new swinger is a must as well..
Then I'll hang it out, and see if I can hurt myself. lol

i dont want to give up the duel gasser, besides it has a longer lever then the 90 lever is, i just need to keep choking up on it (i have big hands and long digits)

well so far i have spent mr morning chopping up a tree in the front yard, polishing a axle, and moving dirt and brush on the track, be expecting that the first video of walle will be on a all new track.

I went for a ride, the first long ride since rebuilding the rear end. I love how solid it feels now, I guess there was a bunch of movement with the stock stuff. When i got home i put it on the trailer, ready to be moved to its new home. I'm moving to the Barrie ON area, tons of trails to ride in that area.

North of there are the best trails in Ontario man ... My cotage is in Dorset about 2 1/2 hours north of Barrie. Where abouts in the berrie area are you moving to ?

I'll be south of Barrie, I just got engaged and will be buying a house in that area when my house in London sells. Some of the most beautiful terrain anywhere, I'll be looking for some guys to go riding with.
