Actually, my sister bought an 04 Titan last year. Tough ****** truck. Very well built. Fully boxed frame, dozen cross members, Dana rear, 6 lug (not 5 like yota), big ass ****** radiator (damn thing takes nearly 4 gallons when just replacing one), the 5.6 is a runnin fool... Worst things imo: power window switch location, seats a lil flat, could stand a beefier rear (but I'm used to the giant rear in my HD).
Now see, I HATE the look of the Tundra, but like the Titan. The early Titans did have one trans issue they fixed, and the IDPM had an issue, there is a recall relay that goes in to fix that. Those are the only issues that I've seen. I'm sure there are more like all vehicle, but not feeling like looking it up on ALLDATA. Honestly, I compare trucks all the time, I'm more then impressed with the Titan. Still wouldn't one personally though. Two reasons; one: not my kind of truck. Two: a half ton truck is useless.
my bro's jeep YJ trail toy. 1 tons, 350 V8, im not sure what else is dont to it but it is massive! tires not decided the ones on there are just to roll it. heres a pic of it and my redneck bro. LOL!
Btw, the 4.7 I-force Tundra has a problem with the secondary airpump. It sucks in it's own filter, and all the filter material gets forced into the intake ports and valves. Reduces power untill the engine shuts down. $3,000 repair! And $2,400 of that is for the pump! No thanks, no Toyata prods for me. lol
Indeed! Anyway back to the topic. I dont really beat my truck to bad. It does get into some nasty trails looking for new fishing spots and the occasional mud run
I hate that comercial. Any truck could pull the space shuttle, because there is no tounge weight on the truck at all. That happens when the trailer has front and rear axles, instead of 1/2/or 3 in the center. It's a ******** add.
Not saying it didn't, cause it did. Just saying that any truck could do it because of how they had the shuttle set up on the trailer. Put it on your standard low boy and you'd need a big rig because of the tounge weight. Your 4cyl puppy or my NapZ hardbody could pull it too.
Yes, but you are not putting the hammer down and doing a tractor pull. You're easing into it. An auto would with it in 1st gear. Not like you are taking down the highway. But even still, who really cares in the end. I'm the one passing all the other brands going up hill towing a trailer.
