Heres a saying i have seen on cars at Montgomery Motorsports Park, "Built Ford tuff with Chevy stuff" and here is a link of a Stang with a big block chevy. Cubes is a little more than 500 and its a lot bigger now http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6xxklzJUXg this car is now running 5.60s or 5.50s in the 1/8 so about a 9.00 or 9.25 still geared for the 1/8 all on a 10.5 inch tire and stock suspension.
And on that 2.3 does it have any nitrous.

Not that I know of, Im still trying to find out exactly what he has done. I do know hes running lots of boost and gobs of fuel. Theres just so many different things that can be done to these Turbo 2.3's to make alot of power its not funny. I can guarantee one thing he's running though, besides race fuel is a Stand alone ECU like a Megasquirt or something of the like. After about 300-350 hp the EEC-VI computer just cant be tuned enough to go bigger so you have to go Stand alone. But it is easy for a V8 to do all that, a turbo 4cylinder is a different story. Especially early '80's tech 4 cylinder.

Good last guess MOTO!! Its a Gillis Manual Boost Controller. Stock I cant get full boost in all gears, once that is installed I can run full boost or higher in all gears!!! Cant wait to get it installed, but I have to now wait for them temps to get away from 0:eek:.

Not to derail this thread, but why does everyone have to post random pics and vids that have nothing to do with the thread??

97warrior350, maybe you havent seen what big block FORD 10.5 outlaw stangs run in the quarter??

yeah i have but thats a back halved 4 link car that is geared for the 1/4 that the people bought the motor this guy built his from the ground up stock suspension and all but now he is limited to what he can put down. This car is breaking out in a 5.70 stock suspension class, the reason there is a break out is because he could keep winning them. now put his motor in the same car as that BB Ford and he would whoop some @$$. just look up youngblood racing on youtube an watch bo vs. morgan thats his medium motor just above 600 cubes and bo's car is another one he built with a small block and about 400 horsepower.

not yet man, GM totally repaid the grant money, restructured their company & announced on GMA this morning, they have regained their #1 position as the largest company in the business. Mistakes, Yup, they've made some, ALL car companies have built some junk over the years. Still, there's something to be said about a company that's willing to take the steps, trim the fat or whatever else to recover. Like it or not GM is building some very nice vehicles these days.

To be honest, I dislike every new truck, besides The F-150. I think they kinda all look like crap.

I'm in love with their50's Ford trucks and the 80's Chevy trucks but they are all better with a new style engine like a ls motor in a Chevy which is just like a kx motor in a warrior

I personally have always liked Chev trucks but if I were to buy a new truck today it would be between the GM trucks & the full size Toyota. I've never been one for foreign vehicle but that newer Yota with the I-force is eaten up with power & they look Badass with a 6" lift!

They have not repaid the full bailout money and probably never will. They did repay a loan that was taken though. Big difference between bailout and loan. They should have trimmed the fat long before they needed a bailout. Not to mention after working on engines and bodys of these cars and trucks they are just biult to flimsy for me.

Ford realized things were getting tight and started to sell of things that they had acquired over time that werent really needed to keep business as usual. No bailout need here!

As for Chrysler/Dodge they have been constantly having money problems, hence the reason they have been owned by more people than most of our warriors have had owners!!! At the very least they should have been allowed to die out. If you cant sell enough vehicles to stay afloat and make a profit somethings wrong.
