Any vehicle when treated right will last a long time.
I completely Agree. Every one of the big three had issues at one time or another, now they have all gratly improved (just look at the quality the 80s gave us compaired to now). Anyway no matter what you drive treat it right do the maintance and it will last a long time

Ya now the quality even worse, Ive been working on newer stuff and it just seems like they are more going toward quantity than quality. Take GM's 3.4L for example, they know its been having head gasket/intake gasket problems, do they stop producing it or actually atleast fix the problem. NO and there fix it gaskets fail in a year.

Same thing with every Ford diesel since the 7.3

Ok ford fans take a pair of heads off the 400 and put on the 302 and see if they fit. because with chevy you can take one off their 400 and it fits perfectly on their 302. Chevy was smart enough to do that, ford not so much. But can we all agree that Imports besides yamaha suck.

Really gonna go there agian:loco: And Ive already brought up the issues with your beloved Dmax/allison, so Im not gonna rehash that one. But unless you are fully enveloped in the diesel world your going off of what you heard from someone, that heard it from someone, that heard it from some one. Ive dealt with all 3 big diesels and Id still take a 6.0 before the dmax or cummins.

Oh and I moved all this to its own thread, no need to clutter another up.

Thats because if you would no anything about fords motors the 352,390,400,427 are completely diff in design. Thats there "FE" motor or there big block. Fords 351 and 302 share the exact same head design, the 351 has a taller deck so it requires a 351 style intake.... Share some info worth while.

And all that shows to me is what Ive always siad, Chevy would just recycle something and charge more for it as an option.

Kinda like lets take the tahoe suburbans, slap a Cadillac emblem on them and jack the price up $20,000

You cant forget the 360 in the FE list, I should never have gotten rid of my 390/C6 I had. Can you imagine a Tbird with that motor worked over:eek:

And heres another thing shity chevy fans.... The ford 9" is the best rearend there is PERIOD.

Yep any of the big racers are running Ford 9" rears. Its also the reason why thats the rearend that Curry Enterprises specializes in. Olt of them are also running Mustang II front ends.

Hey now, Ford does the same thing with Lincoln Navigator. And the Explorer has a Lincoln, Mecery and Mazda version. Dodge/Jeep does it too.

The 9" is a great rearend, no c lips to worry about and easy to seap out the punkin. 8.8" works good but reminds me of the dana rearends. Not that dana is bad just not the best design

Dodge dont have a pot to piss in, so to me they dont really count. GM also relabels the same vehicals as GMC and calls them Professional Grade. And they ask about $10,000 more. Im sorry for all that GM should have never need a bail out for how they do it, but they suck soooooo......

Ill never own another GM thats for sure, they break to easy.

The 8.8 is good for budget biulders that just can swing having a 9" biult for there application. It gets pretty pricy. My Tbird has a 8.8 Trac-lock disc brake rear and I know it can and will take all the abuse I can throw at it.

Gm all the way. Never will own a furd. My 89 has never ever let me down and still is one of the best body styles out there. The new gms arnt that pretty but neither are the fords. The f150's are god awful with their wash board tailgates and clear euro tail lights and the HUGE chrome bars in the 250 and the horrid round dually fenders. I'll keep my 89 and 04 chevys.
