That's what I was hoping you meant, lol. If I got them I was going to fix and sell one and prob build the other up with a 393 powroll kit. But, it wasn't meant to be.
here some more info to help with yz to tri-z conversion http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthread.php/30686-How-to-power-valve-your-Tri-Z/page2 ... it look like all that needs to be done is taping the cylinder vacuum port for the fuel pump .... using the z's clutch cover and kicker assembly you'll also have to remove a plug in the z's cover .... and you can either use the yz head and have to reroute the rad pluming or use the z's head so you dont have to do that .... the yz intake is on a angle so you'll have to ditch the stock air box
also found inter change parts list for the TRI-Z 250
I keep looking, but, they've been hard to find. Gotta pick up a local paper and see whats in there. I did find yz cases on ebay, but the left had chain damage. Don't know how bad.
I totally have my work cut out for me on this one. I like the idea from reading about the pv converted engine. That might be cool to try on a machine that already ran good but ya wanted to experiment.
I personally will be tickled with a stock engine with a lil portwork, a rechambered head & a 35mmPWK
That's about all I would do to it. Really that's about all a 2 stroke needs imo. Just that little stuff alone will make it feel like you spent big $ on engine work.
I was contacted last night via txt from the seller that had sold that whole TRI-Z engine on ebay Sunday. Apparently the buyer must be dragging his/her feet on payment. Anyway, the seller txt me & told me that the cat had til today to pay or it would be offered to me, yaay! Now, anybody wanna make a donation? I'm not too proud for charity, lol!
