What did you do to your quad today?

Yeah you can do both. The lighter spring makes it depress easier, the cap makes it depress faster.

yup, i did the spring when i pulled my carb apart

I had to order the whole damn rod kit just to get the rubber accordian boot. But, the new spring is lighter then the old one. So I've kinda done both.

yea if i remember rite, i had a hard time with that boot, i think i had several posts while trying to get it apart

Hah. I do like wrenching on it. Gives me something to do out of the house away from the female while she watches her mindless TV shows.

Seriously thou, after this new piston install, Fan install, new carb install and finally install the rotor guard setup. I am done with major stuff.

Sometime in the future I will get the frame PC'd black, but I don't see that happing until may years down the road, or until I have cash I can play with. I almost have it exactly setup to my liking.

If I dont like the 38 round slide carb, I'll go FCR. I want a +2 stem and to run a 660 rear shock too. New plastics and thats IT! It's a process. Not everything can happen at once. Eventually it will be done.............who knows when that day will come thou. Hahaha

got the cam installed, the engine timed, valves set, and carb and gas tank bolted up. waiting on an oil filter to come in tomorrow. should be purring tomorrow evening. :atv:
