Yeah Im with yamahauler on this when it comes to maitenence and berings and the lot I do everything that I am capable of which is just short of boring and porting work lol on my quad

can you still get those turbos and efi kits cause im thinking bout that i love the turbo idea lol
Ya dude you sure can. The name of the company is ecotrons.
The turbo EFI kit would require a bigger TB for the 350, but you could contact them about that. http://www.ecotrons.com/Small_Engine_EFI_Turbo_PNP_kit.html
The turbo.. http://www.ecotrons.com/Small_Engine_RHB31_VZ21_turbocharger.html
I would love to see someone try this kit!

What do y'all think of this labor price
Frame paint
Plastics paint
Install
All bearings
Stage 1 cam
F/R gears
Re-build and re-jet carb

Price $750 including parts
Thats not to bad of a price. I would double check on the paint their using though?

I figured that was high but then I thought about taking all the plastics off and removing engine for paint. What will you charge yamahualer ?? . I can do the bearings, carb and possible the cam myself if I had instruction and time . As far as the paint I don't have a booth or garage to do it in, it's getting cold where I'm at

Doing the work yourself isn't that hard. You can do most of the stuff on these quads with hand tools.
As for paint. You could strip the frame yourself, and get a bodyshop to paint it for ya? that would save you a few bucks.
Or make a paint booth out of some tarps, and a small heater. I've done that before.

I here you Mathis but my major thing is TIME I'm home all day but have my new born with me. I know I can do the job I have endless tools and have knowledge of motors most cars. As far as paint I see what your saying but then again TIME is my enemy right now and i will like to have this done by jan

Yah I built the hybrid while I was doing the stay at home dad thing with my 2 kids. I know exactly where your coming from.. lol
The bonus I have over your situation, is a garage. (and my oldest helped me. lol)

You know what I did with my frame..
I took it to the kids at the local high school, and they painted my frame for me as part of their automotive class.
They didn't do the best job, but it saved me a lot of time on my build.

I want to do the turbo kit in a bad bad way! You think it would be worth it?

What would one of you pay for something like what I'm doing to be done to your quad??

Well I think it would depend on what you wanna get out of it? Your Warrior would be unique, and it would haul ass.. If it was tuned right, it would also start easier in damp/cool weather.
But it would greatly shorten the life of your topend with the turbo. Not only that, you would also have to figure out the best way to drop your compression a few points.
You could double up your base gasket. That would probably help. (But even just the EFI kit alone would be badass. And could possibly make more power)
I would also be a bit sketchy about rolling threw a lot of water, and mud with all the extra electronics on board.

After you weigh in all of the pro's, and cons. Plus your riding style..
If your still into to it, I would say it's a damn cool investment.
:atv:

I'd never do it... Roll your quad once and your hosed... plus if your going to not ride hills or mud, then why the hell do you have an atv to begin with?!?! sheeeesh haha

It does seem like it would over complicate things a bit. Lots of wire and stuff. My main concern would be reliability factor. I just think it would be wicked cool. We built a bad ass turbo set up for a buddy's garden tractor for pulling.

Well it would be better for hill/mountains, cause altitude wouldn't effect it. Also you wouldn't have to worry about floats, jets, ect"..

I wouldn't be really worried about moisture, as long as you had all the wiring (ecu) sealed.

Like I said before. I don't really know about the whole turbo idea, but just having the fuel injection alone would be awesome!!

I dunno man? Things are a bit pricier up here in canada. I don't really know what people charge for that kinda stuff anymore?

Like just getting the carb itself rebuilt could set you back $150 bucks.
Most small engine mechanics around here charge around $70 an hr. So with the cam swap, that would be about 2-3 hours I bet. Another $200... Bearings would be a couple hours.. Paint, materials, ect". Then add parts.
I really can't say that $700 is a bad deal.
Those guys need to make money to. lol

Ok guys, I'm need to start ordering parts and now It's time to rebuild top end. What's the best way to go with out taking away reliability but get more out of the 350 without major work.

Here's my list feel free to add
Hot cam stage 1
Re-build and re-jet carb
Advance timing 1 tooth
14-38 gears

Since I have to rebuild top end what's the best way to go without having to bore jug or replace major internals but get more power VS stock.simple replacement ???

Well if your gonna rebuild the topend, you might as well do it right. Get a 84mm piston, but keep it at 10:1 for reliability. The hot cam is always a good option as well. Get a new cam chain to go with it though.
Go threw your carb if you want, or score yourself a new one (like a 36mm Keihin PE or something like that).
Then grab yourself a good slip-on Muffler. HMF mufflers are the best bang for your buck.
As for your gearing, it all depends on what size tire you end up running? If your running a 22" inch tall tire 14/40 would be perfect for trails. If you wanna run 14/38, I would suggest a 20" tire.
